瓦解之环
THE DISINTEGRATION LOOPS
这是由美国作曲家威廉姆·巴辛斯基（William Basinski）所创造的一个音响装置。1982年，巴辛斯基在想要将自己的磁带转换成数字格式的时候发生意外，造成毁损，但却无意中造出了一种环境音乐，给人一种瓦解以及时光飞逝的感觉。他在2001年9月11日于纽约创作完成，一时间声名大噪，作品余音绕梁，美不胜收，曾在纽约的大都会艺术博物馆和威尼斯双年展中进行过乐队现场演出。

A sound installation of American composer William Basinski’s recordings made when transferring his 1982 music library from magnetic tapes to digital format, accidentally destroying them in the process, but resulting in an ambient document of disintegration and the passage of time. He famously completed the transfer on the morning of September 11, 2001, in New York. Hauntingly beautiful, they have been performed by live orchestras at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Venice Biennale.

A live graffiti art performance and installation by local Beijing writer Biskit, produced on a private roof terrace and completed within the duration of Bai Ye.

YOU NEVER WRITE ME ANYMORE
这是一个与社区互动的装置，来自于许愿树的概念，用中文或英文在便签上写下文字后会送给白夜活动的匿名参与者。每张便签挂到树之后，就可以扯一张便签下来。
An interactive community installation, drawing on the concept of the prayer tree. Notes are penned in English or Chinese to anonymous fellow participants of Bai Ye. Each note is then fastened to the tree, and a note is taken away.

HERE AND THERE
这是一次双面板照片研究，照片中的内容为理想化的环境以及我们与之的情感联系。这些照片记录了外国人旅居北京的生活，通过单一的事物，将他们与此地相连，也与他们的另一个故乡相连，以此反映出让人心伤的事物联系，所属以及属于，浪漫化的空间意象。

A twin-panel photo study of idealized environments and our sentimental connection to them. A document of expatriate life in Beijing, through images of singular objects that connect them with here, and with their other ‘home’. The result is a poignant portrait of material connections, belongings and ‘belonging’, and romanticized notions of place.

NIGHT LIGHT with LUKAS BIRK
位于北京城的钟楼和鼓楼附近有一家夜间影像馆，专注于光的运动，象征性的动静运动，以及克服低光。本店主人为澳大利亚摄影艺术家及视觉魔术师卢卡斯·比尔克(Lukas Birk)，活动参与者可以在3月22日晚上10点到23日中午12点之前莅临参观。
Night photography workshop against gentle giants, Beijing’s Drum and Bell towers. Focus on light movement, figural static and motion, and overcoming the obstacle of low light. Led by Austrian photographic artist and visual magician, Lukas Birk. Participants can join anytime between 10pm March 22 and 12am on the 23rd.
暗夜骑士
NIGHT RIDER
一个人的乐队，爱听就上车，座位车上有。请加入Don Chron每期十分钟的原创演奏表演，就在度假面包车的后座上。“暗夜骑士”公交站点可以在地图上找到，每次演奏能够接纳八名观众，演出结束后请在下一站下车。本车不提供太阳镜和叫好声（+啤酒）。

A one-man orchestra on wheels. Join Don Chron for ten minute sessions of inspired musical performance – all in the back of a getaway van. ‘Night Rider’ bus stops can be found at marked locations. Maximum 8 audience members per performance. You will be dropped off at anther Bai Ye location. BYO sunglasses and whooping sounds (and beer).

摄影术素以“快“见长，世界瞬息万变，却逃不过优秀摄影师的快门从而被永远定格和记录。 因为对中国古代文化艺术的热爱，李享更多关注的是这个世界“不变”的一面。
经历过时间的洗礼，有着厚重沉淀的事物更能代表他对“美”的定义。山水，古代建筑，博物馆里的文物都是他长期以来拍摄的对象。

An altar of sorts, considering an elemental issue of air quality – the barriers and impassibility of the very thing we breathe. Transitional states – factory to table, pristine to sullied – and a lack of silver linings.

Leaving aside why we were drawn to photography upon invention – the document of a fleeting instant – these images work to serve the hallowed objects and landscapes they record. The texture, life, and world they inhabited; the philosophy they represent.
Li Xiang lives and works in Beijing as a professional photographer, particularly of museum artefacts. He is a 2012 graduate of the Beijing Film Academy.

An illusion of movement; a site-specific graphic installation on a demolition site wall. Colourful tape creates an optical pattern, playing with the senses of the observer. Started and finished within the Bai Ye timeframe.

Homeshop presents a '12-hour Hotel' for the enjoyment of all participants. Decorating the entire space to imitate a Las Vegas hotel, amusements such as slot machines, a laser show, surround sound installation and a dancing robot will animate the Hotel in dazzling style. Check-in to the Hotel for respite with a variety of specialist services, including automatic massage chair, video games, steam bath, and dining. They will be expecting you.

你我之间 THE SPACE BETWEEN YOU AND ME
本工作室灵感来源于印度当代艺术家赫玛·乌帕迪亚，每个参与者都会得到一个花盆盒子，并将对一个重要的人简短的信息随着种子埋到土里。“种下去”的信息写在发放的卡片上，留在每个盒子上。盒子可以在白夜活动结束的时候由参与者领走。此工作室想要挖掘那些与我们亲近的人之间不常交流的字句，并通过这种方式，让他们与大家分享，种植并养育。
Workshop inspired by the work of contemporary Indian artist Hema Upadhyay. Planter boxes provided to all participants, and simple messages to someone meaningful are sown in the soil using seeds. ‘Planted’ messages are marked on card provided and left on each box. All boxes can be collected by participants at the close of Bai Ye. This workshop considers words not often expressed between those close to us, and enables them to be shared, planted and nurtured.

A man and woman lie in a bed, the room littered with the remnants of raucous late night. The man has a name and a career, the woman could be any. A bedroom piece about the nameless victims who think it's just how it's supposed to be.
An 8 minute physical monologue, in an actual bedroom.

影子拳击 SHADOW BOXING

Housed in a family of small boxes, a theater of light and shadow is woken and activated by participants. Don’t forget to use your torch.
Created by Julie Peters, with the students of Tsinghua International School. This project will return to the school following White Night, where it will continue to be used and provide inspiration to students.
狂野何在
WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE
市中心区域的绿色地带，在某处内部。一片森林，一条过道，没有路通往彼处，只能通过触觉、嗅觉和听觉去摸索。
Inner city greenspace, in an interior. A forest, in a hallway, with no way to navigate but through touch, smell and sound.
图形会运动 FIGURAL MOTION
北京实验在一家私人公寓的天花板上展示了Len Lye (列恩.雷) 的胶片。Len Lye（列恩.雷）是一位在实验电影创作领域颇有建树的人物，同时他还是一位杰出的动态雕塑家、擅长创新的理论家、画家以及作家。他开创了“直接电影”——不用摄像机拍摄，直接通过电影胶片绘出或刮出影像，通过重新加工发现片段镜头，将物体影子投射到未曝光的胶片上，并通过实验一些早期的彩色技术得以实现。

Beijing Experimental presents Len Lye films, screened on the ceiling of a private apartment. Len Lye (1901-1980) was a major figure in experimental filmmaking as well as a leading kinetic sculptor and an innovative theorist, painter and writer. "All of a sudden it hit me: If there was such a thing as composing music, there could be such a thing as composing motion. After all, there are melodic figures, why can not there be figures of motion?" - Len Lye
